    Skandar and the Phantom Rider
Here is the synopsis of the story: In the beginning Kenna (Skandar’s big sister who lives on the mainland) was annoyed at Skandar because his letters reminded her that she would never be a rider on the island but then on the eve of summer solstice Kenna hears three knocks on the door and when she opens it it’s Dorian Manning the president of the hatchery and head of the silver circle and he offers to show her destined unicorn. And then at the saddling ceremony (the ceremony where the saddlers choose a rider to make a saddle for) Skandar get chosen by Shekoni saddlers which are some of the best saddlers, and then a truesong is sung about the weaver and Skandar. Then Skandar joins the peregrine society. And then Skandar discovers that the silver circle are killing wild unicorns at the silver stronghold. And at the end Skandar, Bobby, Flo and Michel fight the magical defences that surround the first riders tomb because they need the first rider’s staff to save the island and Skandar who because he is allied to the spirit element jousted the first riders ghost and won the staff and together they saved the island.
This book was incredible and by far one of my favourite books I’ve ever read! This book was very magical and mysterious. My favourite character is Florence Shekoni.
