Although still describing herself as a ‘landscape writer,’ as her experience and confidence evolves, Julie’s work increasingly includes the people who inhabit, work, pause in, or pass through a place, and their relationship to it. For this interactive workshop, she aims to analyse and share her technique. Participants will be invited to get stuck in!

Julie’s writing is influenced by her passion for slow travel, and informed by her previous work in environmental education. She is the author of Cader Idris; Let the Mountain Speak, (2026), and The Edge of Cymru (2022), both published by Seren Books. She contributes to various publications including BBC Countryfile Magazine and Nation Cymru. As a Welsh learner she champions Cymru, Cymraeg and cymreictod.

Trwy rhannu ei angerdd am y tirwedd, pobl, bywyd gwyllt, diwylliant ac yr ieithoedd taw mae hi’n nghwrdd ar y ffordd, mae Julie yn anelu i ail-ysbarduni cyffroes am teithio araf a gynaliadwy.
