Ivor the Engine

Something was the matter with Ivor. It wasn’t that he hadn’t enough coal in his fire, he had plenty. It wasn’t that he hadn’t enough water in his boiler, his boiler was full. Jones the Steam, with the help of nearly everybody else in that part of Wales, set out to find the trouble and put it right. A reproduction of the original book from 1962.

OLIVER POSTGATE AND PETER FIRMIN worked together on animated films
for children’s television for thirty years. Together they created many characters and series (such as Bagpuss and The Clangers), but Ivor was one of the first, and has remained consistently popular for over sixty years.
