Claire Fayers is best known for her retellings of Welsh folklore. In this session she will take you on a step-by-step journey from discovering old stories to using them as a basis for your own fiction.

Claire Fayers grew up in South-east Wales where, thanks to her local library, she developed a lifelong obsession with myth and magic. Her books include The Accidental Pirates and Storm Hound (winner of the Tir na nOg award 2020). Also, Welsh Fairy Tales, Myths and Legends (Chwedlau Cymru) and most recently Welsh Giants, Ghosts and Goblins.
Claire lives in the Welsh mountains with her husband and two disappointingly unmagical cats.
